directly and continuing to build within the network, building meaningful connections, and contributing in any wany I can to help move the organization forward.
3. What are some of the key challenges you have faced in the pallet industry? How has the WPA helped you navigate them?
As a woman in the pallet industry, one of the challenges is finding and connecting with other women who understand the space. WPA has a strong group of pallet professionals who are women, and I’ve been incredibly grateful for the opportunity to connect with them.
Those relationships matter. They create space for mentorship, shared experience, and support, and they make it easier to navigate and grow in the industry with confidence.
4. From your perspective, what are the emerging opportunities or challenges for the pallet industry?
One of the biggest opportunities for the pallet industry is to continue elevating the role pallets play in the broader supply chain. Pallets are often behind the scenes, but they’re critical to how companies operate, scale and serve their customers, how operations function and how companies serve their customers.
There is also a growing opportunity around sustainability, supply chain resilience and strategic pallet management. As companies continue to evaluate cost, risk, service and environmental impact our industry has a chance to show that pallets are not just a commodity they are a critical part of the operations and can have advanced systems set up to ensure sustainable consumption.
The opportunity is there- the challenge is making sure we continue to tell that story clearly and consistently.
The companies that treat pallet management strategically and not transactionally are the ones that will win long term.
5. What advice would you give to new members of the WPA to maximize the benefits of their membership?
Get involved before you feel completely ready.
Raise your hand, join a committee, attend Master Learning Groups, and start conversations. The more you engage the more value you’ll get back not just in relationships but in how you grow professionally.
WPA is one of those organizations where what you put in directly impacts what you get out.
