New NWPCA Board Announced for 2023-2024

Alexandria, VA, March 15, 2023 – The National Wooden Pallet & Container Association announced its 2023/2024 Board of Directors during its Annual Leadership Conference, March 1-3, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas.

The following individuals were elected and re-elected to the Board of Directors:

Newly elected:

Justin Kamps, Kamps, Inc.

Ben Remmey, Remmey – The Pallet Company

Scott Vipond, Girard Wood Products

Re-elected:

Michelle Blizzard, Pallet Central Enterprises

Henry Bowman, C&L Wood Products

During the Board Meeting, the following individuals were voted to the NWPCA Executive Committee for the 2023-2024 term:

Nick Wenner, Pallet Service Corp. – Chair

Jeff Lewis, Atlanta Pallets – Chair-Elect

Carolyn Beach, Westside Pallet – Past Chair

Hinton Howell, Cottondale Wood Products – Treasurer

LeRoi Cochran, 48forty Solutions – Director at Large

“I am thankful for the opportunity to serve as NWPCA’s new Board Chair, and I look forward to working with everyone on the Board to advance NWPCA’s mission,” shared Nick Wenner, president of Pallet Service Corporation. “I come from a family-owned business. We all share the drive to succeed, and we prioritize what is right over who is right to create win-win situations. In my experience, taking care of people is the key to doing well in business.” Wenner continued, “I am grateful to work alongside an amazing leadership team in NWPCA. Together, we will continue to make great things happen every day for this industry.”

He brings a wealth of experience as a second-generation business leader that is timely and invaluable for the association’s key priorities for 2023,” said Brent McClendon, president and CEO of the National Wooden Pallet & Container Association.

“We are grateful to Carolyn Beach, Westside Pallet, for her past leadership in engaging our Board volunteers to advance our mission and strategic plan. It’s been a privilege to learn from and work alongside her last year,” said Wenner. “For 2023, one key to success is member engagement.
