What are some of the key challenges you have faced in the pallet industry? How has the WPA helped you navigate them?
As a supplier, one of my biggest challenges has been staying ahead of the dynamic market conditions that pallet manufacturers face, from vastly fluctuating prices to supply chain disruptions. The WPA has been an invaluable resource in addressing these challenges.
Through the monthly WPA Magazine, Master Learning Groups, the Annual Meeting Speaker Program, and countless networking opportunities, I’ve gained access to cutting-edge insights and real- time industry trends. These resources have enabled me to stay closely aligned with the evolving needs of manufacturers, ensuring I can provide solutions that are both timely and effective.
From your perspective, what are the emerging opportunities or challenges for the pallet industry?
The pallet industry is at a pivotal moment, with both exciting opportunities and com- plex challenges on the horizon. One of the most promising avenues for growth is
deeper engagement with the WPA’s four committees.
By actively participating in these groups, members can stay ahead of emerging trends, such as sustainable pallet design and automation, while preparing for chal- lenges like regulatory changes or material shortages. These committees provide a forward-looking platform to address current issues and shape the industry’s future, making them a powerful tool for any member.
What advice would you give to new members of the WPA to maximize the benefits of their membership?
My advice to new members is simple: dive in headfirst and get involved! Explore the WPA’s many opportunities, from webinars and committees to networking events throughout the year. Make it a priority to attend the Annual Meeting—it’s a game- changer for building connections and stay- ing informed.
