WPA Member Moments

with Jorge Eroza

Could you share how you initially got involved with the Western Pallet Association and what motivated you to join?

The desire to learn more about pallet manufacturing led me to discover new associations and having our business in California, the right fit for our company was the Western Pallet Association. Even though this association has extended its borders to multiple other states, Canada since I started coming to the annual meetings, it feels like the right place to learn from each other. Norm Normile (from Norm West Norm) invited me to join and explained to me that I could meet machinery manufacturers that could help us improve our operation. He was right, not only did we meet several manufacturers but we saw tools and actual products that made immediate impact on our operation. The speakers really motivated us and gave us hands on tools to apply in our business.

How has the WPA evolved since you first became a member?

As mentioned before, not only the geographical area was expanded to include members from most of the country and Canada but the networking, the desire to help each other is more noticeable now that ever. It is a very inclusive atmosphere where everyone is welcome and feels right to ask tough questions.

Each month, Western Pallet Magazine welcomes the opportunity to shine a potlight on one of it's members. This month, we feature Jorge Eroza, WPA President, and COO of San Fernando Valley Pallet Company.
