Craddock says they have repeat customers who travel through the area and make a point to visit the store . “ And then with the new national park – we ’ re getting people that are going to and coming from the park . It is still unusual to have an independent bookstore although it ’ s more usual than when we first opened .”
Schlieff met Craddock on her first day back from college and has been involved with the store since day one . She is now a co-owner and runs most of the day-to-day operations and will one day take over as owner .
“ It ’ s the dream job I never thought I would have . I have not worked in six years . It ’ s fantastic ,” she said . ❖
