Curtis Paul owns Very Rare Vintage in Fayetteville , a store that features a curated collection of vintage clothing , CDs , skateboard equipment and anything vintage West Virginia .

When Curtis Paul was a teenager he didn ’ t have a lot of money . While his classmates would be at the mall spending hundreds of dollars on new school clothes he would be sorting through the racks at Goodwill . He loved it . He liked fashion and could find unique pieces at the thrift stores .
“ I remember being in school – and no offense to anyone – but they were mall shoppers , and it was all the same sort of looks and outfits , and I was trying to be unique .”
After years of collecting vintage clothing , he began reselling it online . “ Right before Covid I started selling online , and I sold online for quite a few years while I worked jobs . Then I ended up making just as much selling clothes online as I was working ,” he said .
