Moyers has more than 16 years of banking expertise and experience at the bank . Most recently , she served as the managing director of client relationships overseeing the company ’ s North Central West Virginia market area and helping both existing and perspective clients of the bank by providing financial guidance and advice .
She is a graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor ’ s degree in business administration and minor in communications . She continued her education as a graduate of all the American Bankers Association ( ABA ) Commercial ’ s lending schools as well as the Maryland Bankers School , where she was awarded the Lillian Moffett Award . Moyers also served as a founding member of the American Bankers Association ’ s Emerging Leader Council and chaired the ABA ’ s Commercial Lending School advisory board .
Moyers remains active in the community and supports many nonprofits . Currently , she is a board member and finance chair of Mon Health Medical Center , finance committee member of Mon Health System and board member and treasurer of the Monongalia County Development Authority . She is also the past chairman of the Morgantown Area Partnership , a former board member for United Way of Monongalia & Preston Counties and a member of the Special Olympics West Virginia Polar Plunge Committee .
Pittsburgh Technical College Teams Up with West Liberty University for MBA Fast Track Partnership
Pittsburgh Technical College ( PTC ) recently finalized its Master of Business Administration ( MBA ) fast track partnership with West Liberty University ( WLU ), which will enable PTC graduates with a bachelor ’ s degree in business administration , applied management or information technology to accelerate their bachelor ’ s to master ’ s degree pathway .
“ One of our key objectives at Pitts - burgh Technical College is to expand
access for all students and present them with every opportunity to excel ,” says Dr . Harvey-Smith . “ Our new MBA fast track partnership with an academic institution like West Liberty University achieves just that and presents students in both PTC ’ s schools of business as well as information systems and technology with an accelerated outlet to attain a master level degree .”

The Fast Track partnership is designed to expedite the timeline for PTC graduates to earn their MBA , saving both expenses and time . PTC students pursuing a bachelor ’ s degree in business administration can earn up to 12 credit hours of advanced standing toward their MBA , while students working toward a bachelor ’ s degree in applied management can earn up to nine credit hours , with information technology students earning up to six hours .
“ We look forward to meeting many PTC graduates in the near future and welcoming them to the Hilltop as they complete their MBA ,” says WLU President Franklin Evans .

Babst Calland recently named Katrina Bowers a shareholder in the firm . Bowers is a member of the firm ’ s corporate and commercial , litigation and energy and natural resources groups . Bowers cur - rently serves as general counsel to the West Virginia International Yeager Airport and as general counsel and advisor to airports in West Virginia on day-today legal and business matters such as compliance with West Virginia and federal law , employment and litigation matters , corporate governance and contract negotiations .
A 2013 graduate of West Virginia University College of Law , Bowers also represents oil and gas companies in litigation concerning a variety of matters , including trespass , negligence , property damage , royalty payments , toxic torts , title disputes , breach of contract , preliminary and permanent injunctions and fraud and advises them regarding proposed , pending and enacted safety , health and environmental regulations . She has represented coal operators in cases alleging adverse treatment , deliberate intent and wrongful termination and has represented clients against civil penalties and violations issued by the Mine Safety and Health Administration and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration .
West Virginia American Water Announces Significant Upgrades in Northern Operating Area
West Virginia American Water recently announced the completion of an estimated $ 4.5 million in upgrades to its Weston water treatment plant and northern operating area distribution system . The upgrades , which were completed over a four-year period , elevated the treatment plant ’ s daily production capacity from 2 million to 4 million gallons of water per day and allow for enhanced treatment processes and service reliability .
“ We ’ re so pleased to announce the completion of these significant projects for our northern West Virginia customers ,” says Robert Burton , president of West Virginia American Water . “ The enhancements allow us to better serve our customers while providing for economic development opportunities and growth in the area .”
