Phase 3 of the facility improvement initiative will modernize the remaining legacy portions of the Critical Access Hospital. Building upon the new spaces created during Phase 2, these renovations will focus on upgrading therapy services, pharmacy and a significant expansion of the emergency department, including six exam rooms, a new trauma room and an observation room.
Additional outpatient services will also benefit from Phase 3 improvements, including physical, occupational and speech therapy; pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation; imaging services; central supply; laundry operations; and specialty care support areas. These services will utilize the space made available during the Phase 2 construction and will include updated HVAC, electrical and information technology systems, along with ADA-compliant accessibility improvements that support modern equipment and integrated care delivery.
Looking even further ahead, Phase 4 will focus on preserving critical infrastructure while enhancing patient amenities and expanding diagnostic capabilities. Planned improvements include repair and replacement of aging roofing systems on older portions of the campus.
Phase 4 will also enhance quality of life for long-term care residents through the construction of a dedicated sunroom. In addition, Phase 4 includes the purchase and installation of an MRI unit, significantly expanding local access to advanced diagnostic imaging.
