EQT ’ s philanthropic investments support a wide variety of organizations ranging from small , local nonprofits to municipalities seeking additional funding for community projects that exceed their budgets . The company ’ s philanthropic support includes sponsorships of county fairs , community festivals and other local events that enable EQT to engage with neighbors , enhance residents ’ quality of life and educate community members about the work of the company and the energy industry . Additionally , the EQT Foundation awards grants to nonprofit partners that work to enrich the viability of communities , sustain the principles of continuous learning , train future workforces and preserve natural resources .

Throughout West Virginia , EQT is proud to have developed strong relationships with a multitude of organizations , including numerous volunteer fire departments , Marshall County Fair , Generation West Virginia , WVU Extension , The Education Alliance , Mountaineer Food Bank , the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra , West Virginia Women Work , Wetzel County Center for Children and Families , Tyler County Family Resource Network and West Virginia University .
Beyond financial support , EQT employees may donate 1 % of their annual working hours to volunteering in the community . Through projects like community garden plantings , trail clearings and food bank distributions , employees are committed to community engagement and giving back across the Mountain State .
