A lot can happen in 25 years . The year West Virginia Executive ( WVE ) began publishing — 1998 — was an eventful one with major headlines , including the Bill Clinton / Monica Lewinski scandal , construction beginning for the International Space Station and Apple unveiling the iMac . Also occurring that year , “ Titanic ” won the Academy Award for Best Picture , the series finale of “ Seinfeld ” aired , snowboarding was included in the Winter Olympics and a gallon of gas was $ 1.06 .
For this story , we wanted to bring the headlines a little closer to home and highlight a major event , notable story or sign of the times with past stories featured in WVE . We hope you enjoy getting to look back at the headlines and design of the publication over the last 25 years . •
