At HospiceCare , we believe every person is entitled to comfort , dignity and peace . All patients meeting admission criteria receive the highest quality compassionate care , regardless of their ability to pay . That is why HospiceCare , a 501 ( c )( 3 ) nonprofit organization , relies heavily on the generosity of our community . You can make a difference in the lives of patients and families in your community through tax deductible donations , participation in our fundraising events or by volunteering your time .
The root of hospice history is in the care of the terminally ill provided by community volunteers . The first hospices were staffed entirely by volunteers whose goal was to ensure everyone ’ s remaining days were filled with love and dignity . Today , clinical care is provided by registered and certified health care professionals , but volunteers continue to be a keystone of hospice care . As does the mission to ensure that everyone — regardless of income , race , religion or creed — can experience the comfort , dignity and peace our services provide .
We invite you to become a friend of hospice by volunteering , donating or participating in one of our many fundraisers throughout the year .
