Improving Reliability & Stabilizing Costs
The return of manufacturing jobs, advanced technologies and energy-intensive industries are driving historic electricity demand in the U. S. Companies making location decisions are prioritizing reliable, scalable power. For business leaders and site selectors, transmission infrastructure is not a technical detail. It’ s a gatekeeper.

POWERING WEST VIRGINIA’ S GROWTH

Congested transmission systems can drive higher prices and increase volatility. Investing in modern bidirectional transmission reduces congestion, enables access to lower-cost generation and supports stable energy prices.
Modern transmission infrastructure supports sustained economic growth in West Virginia now and in the future. This project improves reliability while creating long-term economic opportunity for West Virginians.

West Virginia can strengthen its economy and reinforce its role in powering America by building on its legacy of producing energy for the region. The MidAtlantic Resiliency Link is critical infrastructure that improves electric reliability, supports large-scale business growth and enables new investment.

Heavy and industrial load businesses can directly interconnect to the MidAtlantic Resiliency Link. This project strengthens the aging grid and
positions West Virginia to attract good jobs, compete for industry and create opportunities for the next generation of West Virginians.
The MidAtlantic Resiliency Link is a 500-kilovolt bidirectional transmission pathway designed to carry more electricity, reduce congestion and keep the power flowing. By strengthening the backbone of the electric system, this project helps protect the region from outages during extreme weather and peak demand.
