Southern West Virginia is strongest when its communities work together. The tri-county region is uniting with a shared vision for economic growth. The new strategic plan will leverage regional collaboration, economic diversification and education to create opportunities for businesses, workers and communities across the coalfields.
Indian Ridge Industrial Park, owned by the McDowell County EDA, boosts the county by offering shovel-ready land that attracts businesses, creates jobs and reduces out-migration. It expands the tax base, supports public services and drives economic diversification for long-term growth and stability.
Mingo County Redevelopment Authority is driving growth by completing utilities at the Air Transportation Park in 2026 for new sites. It is also advancing solar and broadband projects, attracting new industries, boosting tourism, securing two site-readiness awards and supporting advanced air mobility to build a stronger economic future for the area.
Wyoming County is advancing economic growth through strategic investment and collaboration. Expansion at the Rockefeller Industrial Park strengthens production, development at the Barkers Creek Industrial Park introduces carbon manufacturing and we continue to cultivate entrepreneurship.
