ZMM’ s work on the Coopers Rock State Forest Stargazing Cabins has helped create a space where lovers of nature and astronomy can experience the stars like never before. Designed to blend with the natural landscape, these state-of-the-art cabins offer visitors a chance to immerse themselves in an unmatched view of the night sky while enjoying the cabin’ s modern comforts.
Located in one of the East Coast’ s darkest sky regions, the cabins feature A-frame architecture, telescopes, retractable skylights and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows. Strategically positioned to minimize light pollution, these cabins ensure unobstructed celestial views. No matter their stargazing experience, guests have the opportunity to witness constellations in remarkable clarity.
The Stargazing Cabins at Coopers Rock State Forest enhance outdoor tourism in West Virginia and with the help of ZMM’ s careful design strategy, will transform the park into a premier destination for celestial observation.
