Three influential groups , Counsel Connections , Up Next Charlie West and Rhetoric , organized Meet Up 64 on June 21 , 2023 , in West Virginia . This event brought together over 100 young professionals , highlighting the importance of retaining emerging talent in the state . Meet Up 64 demonstrated the power of collaboration in addressing professional retention . These groups are committed to ongoing efforts to retain young talent in West Virginia , fostering connections in the Metro Valley .
Counsel Connections , founded in Huntington , WV by Julian Pecora , connects professionals across the I-64 corridor , hosting influential events and fostering vital collaborations . It bridges pre-law and law students with seasoned lawyers , boasting more than 200 Metro Valley members and ambitions of statewide impact .
Up Next Charlie West ( UNCW ) is the young professionals ’ program of the Charleston Area Alliance . Its mission is to attract and retain young people in the community through various events and programing . As of fall 2023 , UNCW has 150 participants , and this positive momentum within the greater Charleston area couldn ’ t be more exciting . Rhetoric is a legal research company founded and headquartered in West Virginia that provides litigators with a competitive advantage in litigation through actionable insights about judge preferences , tendencies and language use .
