Two West Virginia Schools to Participate
in Blueprint for Learning Cohort
North Elementary School in Monongalia County and Wheeling
Country Day School in Ohio County have been selected by the
Remake Learning Network to join a 16-team cohort to reimagine
a Blueprint for Learning. This will allow each school to partic-
ipate in a collaborative design process and receive $50,000 to
transform a space in their school.
“Through these grants, we’re bringing educators together
with architects and designers,” says Remake Learning Director
Sunanna Chand. “Together they’ll exchange knowledge and
expertise as they design new kinds of classrooms, workshops
and community spaces for learning.”
Developed in partnership with the National Design Alliance
and Reimagine America’s Schools and funded by the Grable,
Benedum and Hillman foundations, Blueprint for Learning’s
$800,000 investment represents the largest single investment
in learning space design in the history of the network.
Students can complete the program in as little as 12 months,
and admission to the program is on a rolling admission basis.
By researching over 600 schools across the county, the College
