What are the most common skin problems?

Wounds, including leg ulcers: UK incidence of leg ulcers is around 1.5-3 per 1,000. In up to 60% of cases, leg ulcers are secondary to venous disease (arterial insufficiency, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis). More common in the elderly —20 per 1,000 in the 80-plus age group.

Contact dermatitis: Often work-related and diagnosed and managed with self-care or in primary care.
