How is IICA governed?

Executive Organ
It is the highest governing body of the
Institute, comprising the representatives of
the 34 Member States.
It meets biennially.
Executive
Committee Comprising representatives of 12 Member
States, elected for a period of 2 years in
accordance with the principles of partial
rotation
and
equitable
geographic
distribution.
It holds regular meetings on a yearly basis.
General
Directorate It is governed by the relevant provisions of
the Convention on IICA and its regulations.
It is made up of technical and
administrative units through which the
activities of the Institute are coordinate and
carried out.
