“ I always thought if I had a restaurant , it would be called Summer something ,” she said . “ But then I was like , that ’ s boring . Then I just thought that ( Lady Tron ’ s ) would be cool .”
When thinking of a theme for the restaurant , Summer wanted something that fit her style and went with a retro direction . She started putting in old spaced themed toys in the restaurant and has a TV set up to with old space related shows and movies playing all day for their customers .
Someone coming into the restaurant for the first time should expect a lot of sass from Alexa and Summer , Alexa said .
For the food , Summer and Alexa do soups and sandwiches in big portions . If a customer wants to try a
soup before buying it , they give out samples . They also change out the soups and some sandwiches every week , but some of them may repeat one other time throughout the year .
Alexa and Summer are always thinking of ways to create new soups and sandwiches . The season , what they ate at home the night before and other dishes can be inspiration to their next soup or sandwich .
“ People are surprised when they see the soups ,” Summer said . “ They ’ re like ‘ What is that , it doesn ’ t sound good .’ Then they try it and they love it .”
On a typical day for Summer and Alexa , they start around 7 or 7:30 a . m . and plan out how much they will have to cook for the day as well as going out and buying ingredients for their
