Dear Weinstein JCC Community,

Change is inevitable, and since March 2020, it has felt like the world has been shifting constantly— and at an overwhelming pace. Whether in our homes, workplaces, local communities, or across the globe, the rapid nature of change can be exhausting, and we find ourselves longing for stability and normalcy. But the reality is— change isn’ t slowing down.
Fiscal Year 2023-24 year brought both challenges and opportunities. The most heartbreaking event was the horrific massacre of Jews since the Holocaust on October 7th, 2023 along with the alarming rise in antisemitism worldwide, particularly here in the U. S. In the wake of these events, our Center became a place of comfort and connection and a gathering space for conversation, education, and solidarity. When we came together to grieve and stand strong, our auditorium was filled— not just with members of the Jewish community, but also with our elected officials, non-Jewish leaders, and neighbors who stood by our side in unwavering support.
Despite the challenges, we have seen incredible resilience. This report highlights how, even in a time of profound change, our community engagement grew, food distribution expanded, scholarship support increased, and fundraising reached record highs.
What we learned over the past year is that strong leadership and a caring community are essential when navigating uncertain times, especially when so much is beyond our control.
This past year, we not only rose to the occasion— strengthening our operations, investing in our staff, and continuing to deliver award-winning programs— but we also embarked on an ambitious Capital Campaign. This initiative was designed to create a sustainable business model, keep us relevant, and ensure we can serve future generations for years to come.
