Capture the essence of Chloe & Rhys’ big day by incorporating lots of DIY and personal touches.
‘ It felt like we saw every venue in Kent’
Because I work at Chilston Park, we decided to look at other venues rather than choosing to get married there. It felt like we saw every venue in Kent( although in reality it was probably 12 venues) but nothing compared to Chilston.
Rhys’ mum is a vicar so we also wanted a venue that was close enough to a church so she could conduct our ceremony, and accommodation was a huge thing for us, we both have quite big families so wanted the opportunity for everyone to be able to stay with us and celebrate.
I plan my couples’‘ perfect days’ every day, so I have seen so many weddings over my years at Chilston and I knew that we would be able to make ours special to us.
‘ Our dog was the ringbearer. She did such a good job!’
Our ceremony had lots of special moments. Seeing Rhys’ mum outside of the church with a smile on her face made me feel so much ease and relief – knowing that Rhys was inside waiting and that everything was ok.
For both of us, our favourite moment of the ceremony was when our sausage dog Fawn came running down the aisle with the rings! She did such a great job!
‘ The décor had to reflect us’
I always knew I wanted a colourful wedding but it is so hard deciding on the colour scheme! We ended up going with the‘ wildflower’ theme and had lots of bursts of colour. We wanted the décor to reflect us and make everyone feel happy.
