Serbia adopted requirements in line
with REACH and CLP.
• Ukraine has adopted the 1st
version of GHS.
• Serbia adopted the 3rd edition of
GHS
• The Serbian Act on Chemicals of
2009 was amended several times to
bring it in line with EU developments.
• As in the EU, in Serbia operators
must classify, label and pack
chemical substances in line with the
old system set by two directives
relating to the classification,
packaging and labelling of dangerous
substances and preparations and
CLP.

• Decree of 2012 includes
requirements similar to those
contained in the CLP regulation.
• Under this decree, employers
must carry out workplace
exposure determination to
assess whether workers
exposure to hazardous
substances is within the
occupational exposure limits.
