American Horsemen Challenge Assoc. National Finals

Huge Success

AHCA held their National Finals October 17 through October 20, 2018. The competition was held in Sedalia, MO at the Missouri State Fairgrounds. Three rounds of competition were held in 3 different arenas. One round was completed on the outdoor course where horse and riders tackled dirt hills, water crossings, and sorted or roped cattle along with other natural terrain obstacles. In the covered outdoor arena competitors showed their more technical skills while negotiating obstacles. At the completion of the first 2 rounds, the top 10 riders in each division advanced to the final round held in the Coliseum. In the final round competitors completed a variety of obstacles that exhibited their horsemanship skills and the trust between horse and rider. Obstacles in the final round included mounted shooting, jumping through fire and negotiating brush covered water obstacles. Sunday morning after Cowboy Church, Champions were crowned. Many great prizes and Including trophy saddles, championship buckles and cash were awarded to riders. The general consensus from competitors was that the courses were challenging but fun to ride. A great time was had by everyone.

AHCA is a family oriented organization, that welcomes riders of all ages, equines of all ages and types, and riders in all disciplines.

2019 National Finals have been scheduled for October 16 – October 19, 2019 at the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia, MO. Hope to see you there!
