Hunger
Hunger in Canada is caused by lack of money. Each person that doesn't have enough money to feed themselves or their families rely on Food Banks. Even those with jobs still can't sustain enough food for themselves. This is because some jobs aren't able to supply workers with sustainable wages for their daily needs. The simplest reason is that those living in poverty, and are homeless cannot really afford their own food.
The issue I'm doing is about Hunger in Canada. The issue is that the number of people using Food Banks are increasing. During 2008, 675 735 people used Food Banks. In 2012, 872 379 people used Food Banks, That is an increase of 196 644 people, in just 4 years.
Today Food Banks feed 841 191 people every month. That's about 10 200 000 people a year. 85 000 people in a month in Canada use a Food Bank for their first time. Last year in March 852 137 people used a food bank. Over a third of those people were children.
A Food Bank is organization that help people who can't get enough food for themselves or their families. Food Banks get food by donations from people and are run by volunteers. The food then goes to the people in need of it. Food Banks in Canada started during 1987 and there are 3 000 Food Programs in Canada.
