CREATE CURVES

When holding the comb in a concave position the hair will be shorter in the center and longer on both ends of the comb creating the illusion of movement.

When using DACurve by Antonio Tarrell a great tip for controling the hair is having the teeth of the comb facing you and let the hair fall into the comb . The teeth of the comb has a little more space in between one another. This will allow the hair to be slightly loose from scalp to end because now most artist don't focus on tension they focus more on how the hair will fall after gravity takes its course.

You can use this tool on wet or dry hair and your desired tool can be your choice. It can be on used on short to long hair and on all texture of hair. It is perfect as a detangling comb as well.

To create this look comb all of the hair together from scalp to ends. If right handed, hold all of the hair with your left hand and with the comb in the right hand go underneath your left hand and drop all of the hair into the comb making sure to spread as much hair evenly across the comb.

SECOND: Make sure the spine of the comb is resting on the back of the client neck or shoulder.

THIRD: Slide comb down to desired length. Take a pair of clippers and follow the spine of the comb making sure the teeth of the comb is touching the spine of the comb at all time. Within seconds you have completed the entire back haircut.

TIP: When using clippers make sure the teeth of the clippers is touching the spine of the comb at all time. If you desire to use shears point cut while following the spine of the comb.

How to Create

Creating a convex shape

When creating a convex shape at the nape area the center of the hair will be longer and the sides will be shorter.

Create the above look by taking DACurve by Antonio Tarrell and comb all the hair down to the desired lenght. Take desired clippers and press the comb into the hair touching the scalp at all times for control then take clippers and follow the spine of the comb until all of the hair is cut evenly.

Convex

To create the look on the right. Take a previous cut section of hair from the back of the head go underneath the hair with the comb being held at a convex position. Hold thee comb at desired length and follow the spine of the comb.

,

Convex

Instead of holding the comb at a convex position hold it in a convex position.

The more you drop the front of the comb the longer the hair will be toward the front of the head.
