SHARING IS CARING Your meal starts off with a basket of cornbread muffins , some plain and some with cheddar and bacon . I love cornbread , so this was a hit for me . The fresh whipped butter and hot pepper jelly really enhance the cornbread ; while I enjoyed both , the hot pepper jelly , as is often the case , could have been hotter . It still had that distinct sweet and spicy flavor pairing that I love , but sometimes the sweet with heat combo skews to the sweet end of the spectrum , and I find myself wishing for a little more umph on the heat end of things .
The salad is a nice fresh garden salad , but there ’ s not a ton to comment on . I did like the pickled onions and candied nuts , which give some nice textural contrast and zing to the plate . It ' s a nice green salad and a good way to make sure you get your veggies in but didn ’ t leave a lasting impression .
