LIBERTY TREE TAVERN
Which Restaurant Offers the Ultimate Thanksgiving Meal ?
DANNY SAYS : Boma – Flavors of Africa is a bona fide hidden gem — though it ’ s become less “ hidden ” as word of its fantastic food and exceptional dining environment spreads . I strongly recommend adding it to your next trip ’ s itinerary ( especially for breakfast !) It ’ s one of the best places on Disney Property for a nontraditional Thanksgiving this time of year .
LOCATION : Jambo House at Disney ’ s Animal Kingdom Lodge
THEME : Complete with African-inspired tapestries , wooden animal sculptures , and a warm , earthy color palette , Boma fits in perfectly at the resort it calls home .
SERVICE : Boma ’ s Cast Members consistently find ways to make magic and provide service that ’ s above and beyond — especially those working the check-in desk . I ’ ve always enjoyed their brief conversations as they lead me to my table .
FOOD : Boma ’ s buffet options for breakfast include
Turkey Bobotie and Simba Wafes . For dinner , you ’ ll find Peanut Rice , Lamb Bobotie , Oak Roast Pork Ribs , and Chicken Bites among a long list of African flavors and
Disney buffet staples .
VALUE : You get great quality and huge quantities at $ 29 per adult /$ 17 per child for breakfast and $ 49 per adult /$ 29 per child for dinner . More than fair for a
Thanksgiving feast !
UNIQUE FEATURE : Zebra Domes , an amarula cream liqueur mousse covered in white chocolate , is Boma ’ s signature dessert available at the dinner buffet .
FUN FACT : Boma was the first buffet restaurant since WDW ’ s 2020 closures to reopen in the style of an actual buffet . Until then , all others reopened as modified family-style dining experiences .
KAT SAYS : Hear ye , hear ye ! A traditional
Thanksgiving dinner any day of the year , while fully immersed in the story of Liberty Square ? Yes , please ! While Liberty Tree Tavern is great yearround , I especially enjoy dining here around the Thanksgiving holiday .
LOCATION : Liberty Square inside the Magic Kingdom .
THEME : A colonial era-style inn featuring six dining rooms adorned with paintings and artifacts aligned with the American hero it ’ s named for . Thomas Jefferson , George Washington , John Paul Jones , Betsy Ross , and Paul Revere all have rooms named for them .
SERVICE : Cast Members surely help authenticate the “ dining like our forefathers ” experience , dressed in their colonial garb .
FOOD : The entire menu is an all-you-care-toenjoy Patriot ’ s Platter of traditional American Thanksgiving fare including Roasted Turkey Breast , Pot Roast , and Oven-roasted Pork with Mashed Potatoes , Seasonal Vegetables , Herb Stuffing , and House-made Macaroni and Cheese . A plant-based Tavern ’ s Keeper Feast is available upon request .
VALUE : This meal is all-you-care-to-enjoy , so you can really get your money ’ s worth for $ 39 per adult and $ 21 per child . Time to put on those Thanksgiving stretchy pants !
UNIQUE FEATURE : Dessert ! This is the only place on WDW Property where you can get Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake : vanilla toffee cake , chocolate sauce , and vanilla ice cream . So good !
FUN FACT : You can spot a hidden Mickey inside the restaurant ’ s George Washington room .
