La Crêperie de Paris
An Authentic Taste of Brittany By Danny Shuster
As you approach the France Pavilion from the International Gateway , cross the bridge over the Crescent Lake waterway ( pretend it ’ s the Sienne for the full French experience ), head straight back behind the “ old ” pavilion staples , and voila , you are suddenly transported to the streets of Paris .
Many guests are probably in a rush to join the queue for Remy ’ s Ratatouille Adventure , but I encourage you to take a breath and explore the streetscape . Upon my first visit to the expanded France Pavilion last year , the buildings , sidewalks , landscaping , and colors all effortlessly whisked me away to Paris . And since I was in Paris , it seemed only fitting to indulge in some of the delicious cuisine .
QU ' EST-CE QUE C ' EST ? Perhaps you ’ ve tried a light and thin flour crêpe filled with fresh fruit and whipped cream or maybe even a savory option like ham and cheese . What is being prepared at La Crêperie de Paris goes beyond the familiar , delving deeper into the specificity and unique ingredients of the Brittany region of France . Chef Jérôme Bocuse is the culinary mind behind the menu ( he is also responsible for the cuisine at Chefs de France and Monsieur Paul ). With La Crêperie de Paris , Chef Jérôme sought to bring an authentic taste of Brittany to Disney guests . The menu is divided between savory galettes and sweet crêpes and also offers a house salad , a soup of the day , and an assortment of beverages , including imported French cider .
