Castles also exist outside the walls of Magic Kingdom . For instance , the castle ramparts in the Germany Pavilion of World Showcase at EPCOT were inspired by Eltz Castle on the Mosel River near Koblenz and the Stahleck Fortress on the Rhine . The Norway Pavilion also mimics a real castle : The Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is inspired by its namesake castle in Oslo , Norway . The ornate interior transports you into a spectacular medieval castle . This spot is popular for families because you can meet some of the princesses when dining . A replica of Shirasagi-Jo ( also known as Himeji Castle ) sits at the end of a gorgeous courtyard with gardens and pools of water in the Japan Pavilion . Commonly called the White Egret Castle for its white color and design , the Disney World replica has two moats like the one in Japan , and it houses a museum .
