Before heading to Disney Springs for dinner , grab a cocktail at Eclipse Lounge .
Lounge was the perfect spot to indulge in pre-dinner drinks before heading to Disney Springs ; the bartender made us an excellent smoked old-fashioned with Basil Hayden dark rye and a perfectly chilled dirty martini with lots of plump olives . The Oasis Restaurant serves lunch , dinner , appetizers , and cocktails by the pool — try the crispy hot wings or the Beach Breeze , a frozen strawberry and passion fruit cocktail .
The aquatic center rests on the edge of the lake and has lots of plush loungers around two pools . The smaller pool is original to the hotel , and the larger one has a splash area for kids and a waterfall feature in the center . Nearby , you can play basketball , beach volleyball , and cornhole — or lounge by the firepit after dark .
Enjoy two pools in the aquatic center .
SMALL RESORT , BIG BACKYARD Perhaps the biggest perk of all is that you ’ re literally steps away from Disney Springs . You could opt for a rest day in the middle of your vacation and easily fill your time here with free activities or things like bowling or seeing a movie . Maybe splurge on tickets to Cirque du Soleil , go to a concert at House of Blues , or ride in a Vintage Amphicar or Italian Water Taxi at The BOATHOUSE . There are unique opportunities , too , including the interactive glass-blowing experience
at Crystal Arts by Arribas Brothers and a cake-decorating class at Amorette ’ s .
Overall , our experience at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista was so much more than I expected . From the level of comfort in the rooms to the convenient location to the committed staff , we had one of our best Disney experiences during our last stay .
