ADVENTURE IS OUT THERE On the special day itself , we were spoiled by the amount of activities and entertainment on offer : It was impossible to do it all , but there was something for everyone . From the moment we woke up , Pixar music played in the hallways , and occasional cute announcements played over the ship-wide speaker system , featuring characters like Roz , Dug , Heimlich , Dory , and Edna Mode .
We started our morning with a coffee at Cove Cafe , complete with latte art featuring Mike Wazowski , before heading into 3D Crafts at O ’ Gills Pub . Here , we made Woody and Buzz block figures out of paper and glue — it was surprisingly soothing .
Next we headed into two meet-andgreets , which required a reservation . First , we met Toy Story pals at Animator ’ s Palate ; for us , that meant Buzz and Jessie ( Woody and Bo Peep were on another rotation ). Then we were off to The Tube nightclub for an Incredibles encounter with Frozone and Mr . Incredible ( Elastigirl and Edna Mode met others later in the day ).
Character hugs and photos complete , we explored the ship in search of ocean conservation facts as part of the selfguided Wilderness Explorers : Shipshape Adventure inspired by UP . This was a fun and informative activity even for two adults , but the kids we met along the way were really into it ( don ’ t miss the afternoon ceremony featuring Russell and Dug !).
We stopped by Crush ’ s Totally Awesome Pool Party , which had interactive games for families near Funnel Vision , and then grabbed lunch at Flo ’ s Cafe , a Carsinspired pitstop , where we munched on fresh salads , chicken tenders , and pizza .
We caught the first minutes of Jack- Jack ’ s Diaper Dash in the atrium on our way to the Anyone Can Cook Culinary Series , where we learned to make the most iconic Pixar dish from Ratatouille . Or rather , as Chef Guresh taught us , the dish from the movie , which is actually a “ byaldi ” ( same ingredients , different presentation ). The live cooking demonstration concluded with a delicious taste of the dish and a chance to meet the little chef himself : Remy !
Other great activities your family will enjoy include Learn to Draw , Inside Pixar : Meet the Storytellers , Sarge Says !, Pixar Trivia , Style on Parade with Edna Mode , Dory ’ s Memory Game , Monster ’ s , Inc . Open Mike Nite , and The Inside Out Game : Playing with Your Memories .
ABOVE : A latte Wazowski , and some incredible characters . BELOW : These arts and crafts really thought inside the box , and Remy and another chef discuss the differences between ratatouille and byaldi .
