to a park that has plenty of indoor attractions and entertainment .
Keep in mind that sometimes attractions and shows won ’ t open due to inclement weather . Rain may also affect the animals at Animal Kingdom , especially Kilimanjaro Safaris .
EPCOT is a good park to visit on a rainy day because most of the rides are inside , except for Test Track .
You may also want to hit up a park that ’ s close to a WDW Resort hotel , so you can escape and explore one of the many fantastic hotels on property — and maybe even score a dining reservation !

HOW TO PREPARE FOR RAIN You should always be prepared for rain before arriving at the park . Trust me : You do not want to drop money to buy a poncho or an umbrella in the parks . They aren ’ t cheap !
Pack a poncho , umbrella , and shoe covers in your park bag . Shoe covers are exactly what they sound like — waterproof covers to put over shoes , so your socks and sneakers don ’ t get soaked . You can find shoe covers at a variety of locations , but I purchased mine through Amazon .
Also , keep an eye on the forecast and radar . If you don ’ t visit WDW often or this is a once-in-a-lifetime trip , prioritize your top attractions first , especially if rain is coming , in case they shut down early .

When it comes to inclement weather , try not to stress too much . Rain can pass quickly in Orlando . Even if rain or thunderstorms are in the forecast , this doesn ’ t mean your entire day will be ruined . That sun can and usually does show up .
Be sure to stick out the weather because you may be able to hop on a ride that usually has a long wait time , avoid crowds , and see a special Rainy Day Cavalcade in the process !
Remember , a rainy day at Disney is better than a sunny day at work .
