Permanent Shows Until recently , the park had a few permanent shows on the harbor . The most notable was Tokyo DisneySea ’ s version of Fantasmic ! It made its debut in 2011 and ran until 2020 . It stood out from performances in other Disney Parks because it was all on water and used Mount Prometheus during the show .
For the park ’ s 20th anniversary , a brandnew show , Believe ! Sea of Dreams will debut sometime in 2021 . The show will utilize everything the harbor has to offer , from the water to Mount Prometheus .
Character Greetings At Tokyo DisneySea , you can experience “ character greetings ” on the water . These are smaller shows where characters come out on the themed barges and wear seasonal costumes .
My favorite is during the short New Year ’ s Event , where Mickey and friends come out wearing traditional Japanese kimonos . This is one of the few times during the year where you ’ re able to see them in such attire .
ATTRACTIONS A unique hallmark of Tokyo DisneySea is that some attractions are housed within the water canals throughout the park .
Venetian Gondolas The most romantic attraction at Tokyo DisneySea is the Venetian Gondolas . During this attraction , you ’ ll travel through canals in the back of the Mediterranean Harbor and head out into open space to get the perfect view of Mount Prometheus .
As an added bonus , the Cast Members will sing to you in Italian , adding an overall ambiance perfect for any date night . The gondolas run both day and night , but the best time is during sunset , where you have a chance to snap that perfect golden-hour photo .
Just be mindful of harbor showtimes . The Venetian Gondolas stop whenever there ’ s a show happening in the harbor .
