For dessert , we enjoyed the enormous chocolate cake , which I ’ m going to guess is about 9 or 10 inches tall . I ' ll have to bring a ruler with me next time ( something I ’ m sure the staff will tease me about ). It ’ s not quite as nuanced as the 15 layers of alternating dark and milk chocolate you find in the equally gigantic cake at Steakhouse 71 , but the dessert at Whispering Canyon still hits the spot .
Tip : Have your camera ready to capture the look on your little one ’ s face when your server delivers this massive chocolate cake .
THE CAST MEMBER DIFFERENCE Overall , the food is solid at Whispering Canyon ; it is a heavy meat-and-potatoes kind of fare , but it is well seasoned and well prepared . You ’ ll find comfort classics and down-home charm on the menu , and I promise that no one will leave hungry . But what makes Whispering Canyon such a memorable experience is the atmosphere and fun that the Cast Members bring to the table .

The CMs really do make each meal special and unique . When we sent Jeff and Tina to capture the photos for this article , Elvis , their server , noticed the excessive amount of photos being taken and promptly constructed this very fashionable VIP Vlogger outfit so that everyone would know Tina wasn ' t just an ordinary guest . In just a few short minutes , the Cast Members had established a bond and a cute inside joke with the table . It ' s the connections like this that give Whispering Canyon its enduring appeal and highlight just how important CMs are to making your vacation memories special .
The restaurant does get a bit loud and rambunctious , but that ’ s part of the charm . If you have active and energetic kids , they are going to have a blast . The nature of the restaurant lets the Cast Members shine and have a little extra fun with the guests . The interactions here are what make the meal memorable . The CMs working in the kitchen do a fine job of feeding you , but it ’ s the CMs at your table , cracking those jokes and playing those games , who will keep you coming back for more .
