Cast Member Moments

It ' s not always the biggest attractions or most spectacular fireworks that make a trip to Walt Disney World so memorable . Sometimes it ' s the little moments and personal interactions we have with Disney Cast Members . We reached out to our fans on Facebook to share some of their stories about great moments and meaningful memories they have had with CMs . The response was overwhelming and could have filled many more pages . What follows are a few highlights of all the ways , big and small , that CMs make your trip to Disney so magical .

On our trip three weeks ago , our 7-year-old stood at rope drop for 45 minutes to go to Jungle Cruise , and a Jungle Cruise Skipper ( his name was Matthew ) kept him company by talking and asking him lots of Disney questions to help pass the time . When it was time to enter , Matthew walked our son all the way from the entrance of Adventureland to the ride and encouraged him to do silly walks and jumps all the way .
When we got to the ride , Skipper Matthew let our son on first and introduced him to the Skipper of our boat and made a big deal about how our son had waited to be the first to ride that day . At the end of our cruise , Skipper Matthew met us at the dock and gave our son an honorary Skipper card . It was very sweet and so unexpected !

In 2018 , I was with my son and his family at AK . We had just gotten off of Avatar Flight of Passage , and my grandson wanted to go to the gift shop to buy a banshee . The gift shop had just closed before we got there . I saw a lady by the door . I told her our situation , and she graciously let us in ! As this was our last day at Disney , I will never forget her kindness !

We were at Mickey ' s Very Merry Christmas Party in 2019 with our 8-year-old daughter . She loves Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and so toward the end of the party , we went there , and there was no line . We kept getting off and back on . As we tried to squeeze in one more ride before the park closed , they were turning people away , but the CM turned to her and said , “ Hey princess , want to close down Disney World tonight ?” She said sure but didn ' t know what they meant . They put her on the ride at 12:01 AM , and she was the only one on it ! She got to be the last person to ride it that day and had it all to herself . It was truly magical .
