The last stop on the incredible journey through the movies is a 3-minute montage of a
variety of films from the 1930s to the 2000s. The montage has been known to change a
little from time to time. It’s neat to see how many movies you can identify. As you return
to the main soundstage and exit your ride vehicle, don’t forget the thunderous round of
applause for your tour guide.
There are no height restrictions for this attraction. Small ones may be frightened in a few
places, but the overall scariness of the attraction is minimal. The Great Movie Ride is a
nice attraction to take a break and enjoy, especially if the weather is less than favorable.
This is an original attraction that has not only been at Disney’s Hollywood Studios since
the park opened, but it was the original inspiration for the creation of the park. Be sure
to check out this “classic” on your next visit!
Editor’s Note: It was recently announced that Turner Classic Movies and
Disney’s Hollywood Studios have entered into a partnership to refresh The Great Movie
Ride and provide perks to both Disney and to the cable channel provider.
