1. Plan the Menu
Your tea party can be as simple or as complex as you wish. These ideas can be easily
adapted for adults or kids. Some of our favorite offerings for our tea parties include:
Tea sandwiches
Make your favorite kind of sandwiches such as cucumber cream cheese, egg salad
or chicken salad. For kids you can make Peanut Butter and Jelly then use cookie
cutters to cut them into fun shapes.
Scones and muffins
These can be homemade or store bought.
Fruit
Strawberries with fresh cream are a perfect complement to your high tea. If your
guests are kids, they will love fruit kabobs or good old-fashioned fruit salad.
Pastries
Thumbprint cookies, éclairs, mini pies or tarts are some of the types I like to serve.
Tea
Have a couple of different types of tea for your guests to try. For kids, I serve a fruit
flavored decaffeinated tea. You could also serve warm apple juice or even hot
cocoa.
