But there are some issues with both of
these lowest crowd and price periods that
first time visitors who may never return
should pay special attention to.
September can be miserably hot and
humid, but more importantly, the entire
month is in the peak of the hurricane
season. Hurricanes rarely have an impact
on a Disney World vacation—but rarely
doesn’t mean never, and if you will never
be able to return, you might look sharply at
another month.
Like the other winter months, January and
early February can be either delightful or
miserably cold. And it is also the time
when rides are most predictably closed for
rehab and renovation.
Now rides can be closed at any time, and
even during these January and early February weeks, typically not many are closed. Yet there are some every year, and almost
always among the rides closed (sometimes for a week, more commonly for a month or
more, as it is in 2015) is Splash Mountain, which is the single favorite ride at Disney
World of many visitors, and on most people’s Top Ten lists.
So for first time visitors looking for low crowd and low priced weeks, but seeking to
avoid the hurricane and ride closure seasons, I’d suggest the following 2015 weeks (by
arrival date):
October 18, 2015
October 25, 2015
November 8, 2015
November 15, 2015
November 29, 2015
December 6, 2015
