WDW Magazine December 2014 - Crowds at WDW | Page 16

Photo by Brett Svenson Stephanie: Got it! So, if school’s back in session does that mean crowds have checked out at WDW? S E P Carl: The best week to visit Disney World in September is all of them. It’s just about the best month of the year crowds wise. Now that the Food and Wine Festival has been moved up to mid-September, I’d go after the Festival starts like the last week of September. Dave: Carl’s picked a great week. I like the week before a little better—lower crowds, lower prices at the deluxes—but Carl’s point about Food and Wine is important for those who care about it. Stephanie: October is a festive month with the happenings at Epcot plus Halloween - when you do reccomend visiting? O C T Dave: The week beginning October 18 is the best choice—though the week right after is almost as good! The peak of the hurricane season ends in early October, and then right after it you’ve got higher crowds and prices during Columbus Day week. So I like the second half of the month. Either second half of October week is great, but I like the earlier one as it’s a little more likely to have fine weather! Carl: I’m going to argue a bit with Dave on this one. The middle to end of the month crowds in October have been pretty big over the last couple of years. I’m recommending the first week of the month.
