ABOUT THE RESTAURANT
Restaurantosaurus is a Quick Service eatery at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, located in
DinoLand U.S.A. The restaurant is literally bursting at the seams with fun decor, great
theming, and lots of good eats. The story behind the restaurant is a little convoluted and
draws on ideas that were part of the original concept for DinoLand. You can read more
about the DinoLand that never was in the “Technology” issue of the WDW magazine from
February 2017.
If you look closely at the decor and objects throughout the restaurant, you’ll see that the
spot is actually home to a group of graduate students/paleontologists working on a
dinosaur fossil expedition. As you explore the restaurant, you’ll find notes and fossils from
their academic work, as well as evidence of their everyday lives, including how they liked to
kick back and relax (basketball for example, and punny tunes on the jukebox). Parents will
also enjoy some the subtle jokes and puns tucked around the restaurant.
There is ample seating at this Quick Service spot and the indoor areas are divided/themed
