The main difference between the two is the sleeping arrangements. The Family Suites only
have one “real” bed and can sleep a maximum of 6 and the Standard rooms have up to 4
“real” beds and can sleep up to 8. (Both can have an extra infant under 3.)
So back to the question should you Splurge on a Family Suite or Scrooge and go with two
Standard rooms?
There are some good reasons to Splurge on a Family Suite. In a Family Suite, you are
guaranteed to have everyone in the same room. With Standard Rooms, most of the time
you do get connecting rooms if you request them, but not always.
Family Suites are just cool. They are hip. They are an experience. Standard Rooms are
cramped; they are drab and lifeless (yes, it’s a bit of an exaggeration). The Art of Animation
has some of the coolest, hippest, must be experienced rooms at Walt Disney World.
