Callie and Landon perked up. Best Friends Pet Care! Of course! Muffy would love it there!
After a quick car ride, Gus introduced Vera, her parents, and her guinea pig to the friendly cast
members at Best Friends Pet Care. Muffy could stay in a nice cage there. They would feed her,
give her water, and let her out for play time. Vera was relieved. The cast members said she
could visit Muffy anytime.
That night Mom met Callie and Landon right before the Wishes fireworks. They had their own
special spot - on the rooftop of the Confectionary! Mom's special perks were the best.
They sat down to enjoy some cotton candy while they waited. Callie and Landon told Mom all
about their adventure with Vera and Muffy.
Mom laughed, "So it was Muffy that was stealing people's food!"
"And security must have thought Muffy was a stuffed Remy toy during the search - he was on
the backpack after all," Landon added.
Callie nodded. "I'm sure she'll be much happier at Best Friends than in Vera's backpack all day."
"Gus saved the day, as usual," Mom smiled.
But Landon frowned, "Yeah, he did. But he also...well...Gus talked to us about honesty today,
Mom. He said if you're not honest it weighs on your conscience like a heavy load." Landon
looked at the ground. "And I've felt weighed down all day."
Mom looked confused, "Why?"
Landon sighed. Then his words spille
