Then...it happened. "OH NO!" Vera screamed. "Muffy!" "Muffy?!" Callie and Landon shouted together. Who was Muffy? Vera got down on her knees and crawled under a row of t-shirts. What was their friend doing? Callie and Landon knelt down to get a closer look. Suddenly Vera came back out, holding something....fluffy. Fluffy....and.....furry. Muffy! Vera hung her head as she stood up holding Muffy. "This is Muffy," Vera said softly. "She's my guinea pig," The twins eyes got big. "Vera, Muffy isn't allowed in the Magic Kingdom," Callie whispered. "I know but I just couldn't leave her at home. I thought I'd miss her too much. So I brought Muffy in my backpack. I'm sorry," she said, turning to her parents. They were too shocked to speak. But Gus knew what to say. He knelt down and spoke to Vera gently. "Vera, you know it was not a good idea to bring Muffy to Disney World. It would have been better to be honest with your parents. Instead, you kept Muffy - and your feelings - hidden. Muffy was a weight on your back, and hiding her was a weight on your conscience." Vera nodded and looked at the floor with tears in her eyes. "But don't worry," Gus said, standing to his feet. "They don't call this 'The Place Where Dreams Come True' for nothing. Who's up for a little trip to Best Friends?" Gus had a twinkle in his eye. Gus watched over the Parks twins while their mom did important work for Disney. Because he used to be a cast member, he knew Disney really well - even the parts that most people forgot about.
