One spot that was supposed to close down on
April 3 was the Writers Stop - you know, that
little quick service spot to grab a coffee and
their signaure item, the carrot cake cookie?
Well, rest assured that for now at least, Writer’s
Stop remains. It’s now got a different menu
and operating hours, functioning as a lounge
for guests awaiting their Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater
reservations. They’ve got water, sodas, coffee,
beer, wine, and a few savory offerings like a
charcuterie board, soft pretzel, and spiced nuts.
Don’t worry - the infamous carrot cake cookie
lives on - you’ll find it over at Sweet Spells on
Sunset Boulevard. It’s a perfect snack or
breakfast to share when the Starring Rolls
lineup is long or you’re looking for something
sweet to go along with your Starbucks.
