Check out the second floor windows above Hollywood & Vine. Just like on Main
Street, U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom, these windows have hidden meanings. The
window advertising “Office Space for Rent” is a reference to the early days of Disney
Animation Studios when Walt and Roy spotted a similar sign above a real estate agency.
In the Echo Library (one of two pre-show rooms) at Tower of Terror there is sheet music
displayed. The title of the song is “No Mickey Mouse? What kind of party is this?” It’s
an actual 1930’s tune!
As you enter the Recording Studio of the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster queue, look at the
floor to your right. You may notice the audio cables are coiled just right, creating a
hidden Mickey!
The “lagoon” or moat in front of the Fantasmic! stage is only 18 inches deep. The water
is dyed a dark color so guests can’t see how shallow it really is. Despite its shallow
depth, it still holds 1.9 million gallons of water.
Back to Muppet*Vision 3D—when you’re in the pre-show room take a look all over. You
might see a net full of green Jell-O hanging from the ceiling. This is a reference to actress
and former Mouseketeer, Annette Funicello (a-net-full-of-jello). So remember, look up, look
down, and uncover all sorts of fun little secrets within Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
