Here’s what you’ll be seeing in 2019

H
ome design styles keep changing, but let’s face it, it’s fun to
have an excuse to freshen things up. After a tough day at work,
we all want to come home to a place that makes us happy and
helps us disconnect.
Watch out for fads — talking to you, barn doors — but don’t
be afraid to try some new decor in 2019, including these trends.
Kyle Bushoven, marketing manager for Wayne
Tile Company, offers this bathroom decorated
in a Felix the Cat motif as an example of
“a conversation piece. If you have an extra
bathroom in the basement or at a beach
house, you can say ‘What the heck,’ and
do something different.”
A SPIN ON SUBWAY TILES
“Subway tiles are still very popular, but may be
installed vertically,” says Bushoven. “You get
the traditional subway tile, but with a more
contemporary feel to it. It’s a nice change.”
Other variations include subway tiles that
are clipped into picket shapes, he says.
