hilton’s Cancer
Center has once
again raised the bar
in cancer care, welcoming
internationally recognized
radiation oncologists to its
highly skilled medical team.
James R. Wong, MD, Mona
Karim, MD, Yana Pavel
Goldberg, MD and Todd
Carpenter, MD are trained in all
subspecialties related to cancer
and are leaders in their field. In
fact, Dr. Wong is acclaimed for
developing image guided radiation therapy (IGRT): one of the
most significant breakthroughs for
precisely targeting and treating
tumors.
The group’s expertise is now
available to patients at Chilton, along with the
latest diagnostic and cancer-fighting innovations,
including IGRT, 3-D treatment planning systems
and simulators, Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy
(IMRT), and a state-of-theart linear accelerator with
“RapidArc Rotational
Radiation Therapy.”
The radiation oncologists
work collaboratively with
Chilton physicians,
oncology-trained nurses
and other specialists to
develop personalized
treatment plans for each
patient while providing
our community with a
full continuum of
centralized, cutting edge
cancer services.
Furthermore, Chilton is
affiliated with Atlantic
Health System’s Carol
G. Simon Cancer Center, based at Overlook
and Morristown Medical Centers, which offers
seamless access to additional experts, clinical trials
and advanced care for patients with rare or
complex cancers.
