THEY ROCK (Clockwise from top) Chris Carter has met many of rock’s greatest hero’s
including Ringo Starr, Mick Jagger, Bruce Springsteen and Little Steven Van Zandt.

The Beatles.”
Along with John Easdale and a
few other high school friends, Carter
formed the band Dramarama, which
practiced in the basement of the store
until he sold it. Dramarama recorded
several albums and wrote the hit
single, “Anything, Anything (I’ll Give
You).” The band appeared on The
Uncle Floyd Show, as well as on
Late Night with David Letterman
and on MTV.
Later in his career, Carter established QM Management, and was the
music manager for The Wondermints,
best known as the touring backing
band for The Beach Boys’ Brian
Wilson. Carter is most proud, however, of his role as writer, producer and
music supervisor for his dream
film, Mayor of the Sunset Strip,
a rockumentary about influential
Los Angeles disc jockey Rodney
Bingenheimer of KROQ-FM. The
rock star-studded film won Best
Documentary in the Santa Barbara
Film Festival, and was nominated
for Best Documentary by the
Independent Spirit Awards.
Carter currently lives in southern
California with his wife and daughter.
“I’m one of those lucky people. I love
what I do, so I do it all the time. I
have listeners from age six to 60, but
it’s not me they’re listening to. The
Beatles are universally loved. It’s
the Beatles.” ■
