All the ingredients used at the
ZEST juice bar and bakery are
gluten- and dairy-free, and the
baked goods, smoothies, juices
and acai bowls are vegan, too.
Customers can also take advan-
tage of preorder and catering
services. But there’s plenty on-
hand for a little self-indulgence,
including treats such as sweet
potato brownies and “nuts over
chocolate” muffins. The shop has
Monday through Sunday hours.

“I struggled a lot growing up, ‘cause
I came out when I was 16 — that was
11 years ago — and given the era, I was
really, really young to do so,” says Zamo,
a former Wayne Valley student. His 11-episode series is set in an “uppity rich town” in
Pennsylvania, and focuses on a group of high school friends who “stick together and love
each other unconditionally.” They include two gay kids — the “loud, eccentric and boisterous”
Isaiah (played by Zamo) and the “shy, smart, nerdy” Sam (Zack Kozlow).
