LARRY PIEKARSKY, DMD
Dr. Larry Piekarsky has provided outstanding orthodontic care since 1989 when
he began practicing with his father, Dr. Jack Piekarsky. “Our family-oriented
practice is built on dedication,” says Dr. Piekarsky. “Our reputation is based on
high-quality service. I have affected peoples’ lives in a positive way, and that is
gratifying.” Second and third generations of patients are now part of the practice.
Dr. Piekarsky treats common problems including crowding, spacing, overbites
and under bites. His office contains the most technologically advanced
equipment used in orthodontics.
Braces are chosen based on patient preference and optimal results. He is
pleased to offer lingual braces, custom-sized and placed on the back of teeth.
In-Ovation® braces are a faster way than metal ones to achieve results without ties
or elastics. Self-ligating braces, also without elastics, are popular. Traditional metal
braces are available, too.
Dr. Piekarsky works with oral surgeons to treat patients who require surgery to
correct jaw irregularities and those who have a cleft lip or palate.
Dr. Piekarsky earned a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of
Pennsylvania and completed a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study at Boston
University. He was voted by his peers as a New Jersey Monthly Top Orthodontist
every year since 2011.
To stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in orthodontics, Dr. Piekarsky is
a member of the American Lingual Orthodontic Association, American Dental
Association, American Association of Orthodontists and the Dental Society of
New Jersey, of which he served as president.

HEALTHCARE CENTER
Preakness Healthcare Center recently celebrated its 85th anniversary. Owned
and operated by the County of Passaic New Jersey, under the authority of the
County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Preakness Healthcare Center provides
subacute care (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Wound
Care, Intravenous Therapy), long-term care, Hospice and respite care. Licensed
specialty units include ventilator care and behavioral management. On-site
clinical services include dental, ophthalmology, audiology, podiatry and
dermatology. Recreational Therapy includes holiday activities, special events,
off-site outings and musical entertainment. Pastoral care is available to our
residents.
Facilities include outdoor patios, game rooms, activity rooms, hair salon,
community rooms, complimentary cable TV in each room and complimentary
internet access.
